Dow Index Growth Stocks
The following stocks in their respective index category are what I consider growth stocks. These stocks I categorize as growth due to their projected 10 year Earnings Per Share growing over 7% per annum. Basically this means that the earnings will double over a 10 year time period. Another aspect to consider is what the current stock price is relative to the company’s 10 year projected value. Dividends would need to be added to these rates. We will dig into these factors on an individual company basis going forward.
Dow Industrials Growth Stocks:
Amazon AMZN, American Express AXP, Salesforce CRM, Disney DIS, Goldman Sachs GS, JPMorgan Chase JPM, Microsoft MSFT, NVIDIA NVDA, Sherwin Williams SHW, United Health Group UNH, Verizon VZ
Dow Transportion Growth Stocks:
Alaska Airlines ALK, CH Robinson Worldwide CHRW, Delta Airlines DAL, Fedex FDX, JB Hunt Transport Services, Landstar System LSTR, Matson MATX, Old Dominion Freight Line ODFL, Ryder System R, United Airlines UAL, United Parcel Service UPS
Dow Component Utility Stocks to be added later.
Besides the projected earnings growth rate classifying a stock as a growth stock, there is the issue of the current stock price. The current price of the stock relative to the future projected value of the stock is what will determine if and how you would invest in a company. This will also be discussed in the future.
